The invention discloses a synthetic quartzite plate and a preparation method thereof. The synthetic quartzite plate is prepared from the following components in percentage by mass: 15%-25% of 8-16-mesh quartz sand, 8%-15% of 16-26-mesh quartz sand, 8%-15% of 26-40-mesh quartz sand, 10%-20% of 40-100-mesh quartz sand, 25-40% of 325-mesh quartz powder, 2%-5% of cullet, 5-8% of unsaturated polyester resin, 2%-8% of fibers, 2%-5% of pigments, 0.1%-5% of a coupling reagent and 0.1%-5% of a curing agent. With quartzite, quartzite sand, waste glass and unsaturated polyester resin with various particle sizes as raw materials, the method is environment-friendly and economical; and due to addition of the fibers, the synthetic quartzite plate has relatively high breaking strength, compressive strength and bending strength; and the preparation method is low in preparation cost, simple to operate and suitable for industrial production.
