The invention relates to an inorganic isolation refractory material and a preparation method thereof. The inorganic isolation refractory material comprises the following components in percentage by mass: 33% of calcium silicate hydrate, 5% of calcium sulfate, 30% of mica powder, 20% of aluminum hydroxide, 5% of talc powder, 3% of re-dispersible latex powder, 2% of glass powder, 1% of polycarboxylic acid water reducing agent and 1% of hydroxy propyl methyl cellulose ether. A matrix material of the inorganic isolation refractory material provided by the invention adopts an inorganic mineral material which is low in thermal conductivity and good in isolation effect, and the material selected by the method provided by the invention cannot generate toxic and harmful substances under a high temperature condition and has little effect on environment.
