The invention discloses an aluminum titanate ceramic material modification production method. The method comprises the following steps: selecting Al(OC3H7)3 and Ti(OC2H5)4 as the raw materials, hydrolyzing a water solution containing HCl at a temperature of 80 to 90 DEG C so as to obtain sol; mixing the raw materials with sol, adjusting the pH value to 2, and carrying out a thermal treatment at a temperature of 1100 to 1200 DEG C for 50 to 60 minutes so as to form the aluminum titanate ceramic powder. The Al(OC3H7)3 and Ti(OC2H5)4 are taken as the raw materials in order to produce fine and uniform crystal particles, moreover the generation of large cracks is avoided, the performance of the materials can be guaranteed therefore, and the appearance and performance of the aluminum titanate ceramic material are improved.
