The invention discloses a building material preservative agent and relates to a preservative agent for sterilization and insect prevention. The building material preservative agent is mainly applied to the field of building materials and belongs to the field of an additive for the building material. The invention particularly relates to a preservative agent for a composite building material. The preservative agent is used for inhibiting the growth of unexpected microbes such as mildew, mycete, alga and termite and analogues of the unexpected microbes. The preservative agent consists of 2-methyl propionate, 2-methyl propionic acid, caryophyllene, 2,6-dimethyl-6-(4-methyl-3-pentylene) bicyclo [3,3,3] heptyl-2-alkene, organophosphorus ester, pyrethroid, anabasine, carbamic acid ester and a solvent. The preservative agent disclosed by the invention is widely applied to a gel material, fiber cement, gypsum, gypsum and fiber composite material, a wood material, a hard fiberboard, a medium-density fiberboard, a directional fiberboard or a wood material/polymer composite building material so as to realize the application of sterilization of insect prevention. The preservative agent disclosed by the invention is wide in application range, nontoxic and simple and convenient in preparation method.
