The invention belongs to a binding material of buildings and particularly relates to a building material for binding a base layer with a thermal insulation material. A specific formula of interface mortar comprises the following raw materials in parts by weight: 30 parts of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer latex, 0.5 part of hydroxymethyl cellulose, 70 parts of purified water and 50-150 parts of PO.42.5R cement. According to the interface mortar, the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer latex and the cement are taken as main binding components, and hydroxymethyl cellulose is added, so that the binding force is further improved, the binding strength between the thermal insulation material and a wall body is improved, meanwhile, the fire resistance of a product is improved, and furthermore, the pollution problem of products such as rock wool is avoided. The surface of the thermal insulation material is coated with the interface mortar in a spraying manner, so that the efficacies of binding, water proofing and environmental friendliness are achieved.
