The processing method for the silicon carbide porous ceramic comprises the following steps: ball-milling and mixing feldspar, kalolin and silicon dioxide, preparing a carboxymethyl cellulose aqueous solution, mixing SiC and the carboxymethyl cellulose solution in proportion to obtain a mixture I, adding a ceramic binder and graphite to mix with the mixture I to obtain a mixture II, tabletting, sintering and cooling the mixture II. The silicon carbide porous ceramic has characteristics of high bending strength and relatively high porosity.
