The invention provides an electromagnetic building pile driver which comprises a tubular pile frame. A pile head channel is vertically arranged in the tubular pile frame, a guide rod is arranged on the axis of the pile head channel, a pile head capable of axially sliding along the pile head channel is matched with the guide rod, lifting of the pile head is controlled by a lifting system, the peripheral wall of the pile head channel comprises a straight solenoid, a conductive slide as same as a sliding rheostat is axially arranged on the inner wall of the straight solenoid, a conductive contact electrically contacting with the conductive slide is arranged at the lower end of the pile head, and the lowest end of the straight solenoid and the conductive contact are respectively electrically connected with an electrode of a direct-current power supply. According to the electromagnetic building pile driver, the impact speed of the pile head can be remarkably increased, and pile driving efficiency is improved.
