The invention provides a rainwater collecting system. According to the rainwater collecting system, a water leaking opening in a roof is connected with a drainage pipe (1), a purifying and filtering system (2) is arranged on a pipeline of the drainage pipe (1), the drainage pipe (1) is connected to a low-position water storage pool (3), and a water pump (4) is arranged at the bottom of the low-position water storage pool. The water pump (4) is connected with a water pipe (5) and conveys water to a high-position water storage pool (6) through the water pipe (5) so that water can be used for beneficial utilization. Rainwater flowing down from the roof is collected into the high-position water storage pool through the rainwater collecting system and used for toilet flushing, flower watering and irrigating and the like and is quite useful for some water-shortage countries.
