The invention provides a fire door core board and a preparation method thereof. The fire door core board is mainly prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 150-200 parts of expanded perlite, 15-30 parts of magnesium oxide, 30-45 parts of inorganic composite adhesive and 5-10 parts of white carbon black. The inorganic composite adhesive is mainly composed of calcium sulfate and aluminum potassium sulfate. The preparation method comprises the following steps: uniformly mixing and stirring the raw materials, carrying out cold-press molding or foam molding, and naturally drying. The fire door core board of the embodiment of the invention has the advantages of no toxicity, no corrosiveness, low cost and the like.
