The invention provides a formwork support system of an ultrahigh reinforced concrete box girder structure and an erection method of the formwork support system, relates to the technical field of municipal road construction and aims at solving the problems of high pouring construction difficulty and relatively high engineering cost of the ultrahigh reinforced concrete box girder in the existing elevated road construction. The formwork support system comprises a widened frame body supported on a foundation, and a support frame body connected to the upper part of the widened frame body, as well as a formwork arranged at the top of the support frame body and used for supporting the box girder structure; the distance between the edge of each side of the widened frame body and the plane of the positive projection line of the box girder structure of the same side on the foundation is greater than or equal to 3.5m. The erection method comprises the steps of firstly, determining the height of the support frame body and that of the widened frame body according to the designed width of the box girder structure and the requirement that the ratio of the height of the support frame body to the width of the box girder structure is less than or equal to 2, secondly, erecting the widened frame body, fixedly connecting the box of the widened frame body to the foundation so that the distance between each edge of the widened frame body and the plane of the positive projection line of the box girder structure of the same side on the foundation is greater than or equal to 3.5m, and thirdly, erecting the support frame body on the widened frame body.
