Disclosed is an apparatus for charging and housing an unmanned vertical takeoff and landing aircraft and a method for the same. The apparatus may comprise: a device for containing an aircraft; a landing unit provided outside the device such that an aircraft lands thereon; a housing device unit for housing or charging an aircraft and monitoring state data; and a sensor unit for enabling the aircraft and the device to communicate with each other and thereby aiding landing of the aircraft. The apparatus and method can move a plurality of aircrafts while housing and charging the same, thereby shortening the aircraft moving time and increasing operational efficiency.
