The invention discloses a boron carbide material. The boron carbide material comprises the following components in parts by weight: 35 parts of carbonized boron powder, 1-1.4 parts of ethanol, 0.5-4 parts of epoxy resin, 0.5-1.3 parts of boric acid, 150-193 parts of high polyethylene emulsion with a mass concentration of 40%-50%, 116 parts of hydrochloric acid with a mass concentration of 37%, 3-5 parts of anti oxidant and 7 parts of catalyst, wherein the high polyethylene emulsion is one of polyethylene emulsions HA-soft 80 and GFN. The invention also provides a preparation method of the boron carbide material. According to the invention, the boron carbide material can be molded integrally and then can be mildly grinded to further prepare a required product, so as to save cost. Furthermore, the prepared product has high strength and can exude boron which is necessary for a human body during using.
