The invention provides a road protection device, and belongs to the field of road protection devices. The road protection device comprises a plurality of anti-collision units and energy releasing connection mechanisms arranged between every two anti-collision units. Each anti-collision unit comprises a guard bar base, a rolling guide assembly and a supporting mounting mechanism. The side portions of the guard bar bases are provided with mounting cavities. The rolling guide assemblies comprise rolling shafts and rolling pieces arranged on the rolling shafts in a sleeving mode. The rolling shafts are vertically mounted in the mounting cavities. The supporting mounting mechanisms comprise fixing sleeve piers and swing shafts. The fixing sleeve piers are fixed below the ground through cement pouring. The middles of the guar bar bases are provided with vertically through mounting holes. The swing shafts penetrate through the mounting holes so that the bottoms of the swing shafts can be inserted into axial counter bores in the fixing sleeve piers, and the outer circumferential faces of the swing shafts are sleeved with soft sleeves. The energy releasing connection mechanisms comprise connection assemblies and energy releasing assemblies arranged on the connection assemblies, and the two ends of each connection assembly are connected with every two adjacent guard bar bases respectively. By means of the road protection device, the problems that existing guard bars are poor in anti-collision effect, singular in function and inconvenient to maintain are solved.
