The invention discloses a double-bucket type mining excavator which comprises a body and a chassis rotatably arranged below the body. A walking component is arranged below the chassis, a first suspension arm is rotatably arranged on the body, a second suspension arm is rotatably arranged on the first suspension arm, a first bucket and a second bucket are rotatably arranged below the second suspension arm, and the first bucket and the second bucket are both provided with a plurality of bucket teeth. A first driving cylinder is arranged between the first suspension arm and the body, a second driving cylinder is arranged between the first suspension arm and the second suspension arm, a sliding piece is arranged on the second suspension arm in a sliding mode, the sliding piece and the first bucket are rotatably connected through a first connecting rod, the sliding piece and the second bucket are rotatably connected through a second connecting rod, and a third driving cylinder is arranged between the sliding piece and the second suspension arm. Due to the fact that the two buckets are arranged on the excavator, and are controlled to act at the same time through the third driving cylinder, the structure is simple, and excavation efficiency is high.
