The invention discloses a mechanical password lock which comprises a shell. Space for containing other parts is formed in the shell, an annular rotating wheel with a center shaft vertically arranged and a lock cylinder transversely arranged are arranged in the shell, a locking mechanism is arranged above the lock cylinder to lock the left-and-right position of the lock cylinder, part of the annular rotating wheel is exposed out of the front surface of the shell, and the part, exposed out of the shell, of the annular rotating wheel is provided with at least one hole located in the same horizontal level. Balancing bars are inserted in the holes, the parts, exposed out of the annular rotating wheel, of the balancing bars are each provided with at least one groove used for containing weights, and the parts, located in the annular rotating wheel, of the balancing bars are fixedly connected with a balancing patch which is vertically arranged and provided with a small hole. The mechanical password lock is novel in structure, the unlocking matching is conducted based on the balance principle, a spectator is prevented from peeping at the password, the password strength is little, memorizing is easy, and the password can be easily corrected and reset.
