The invention relates to a production process of foamed ceramics. The production process comprises the following steps: (1) smashing raw materials; (2) mixing and grinding the raw materials; (3) drying and pelleting; (4) oxidizing and foaming; (5) annealing and forming. According to the production process of foamed ceramics, building waste and discarded materials are adopted as the raw materials to produce the foamed ceramics with excellent fire resistance, low water absorption and volume weight, so that the production cost is greatly reduced, and the difficulty that the building waste and discarded materials are difficult to recycle is solved; the particle diameters of the raw materials are below 1200 meshes to enable the raw materials to be better mixed with a foaming agent and a blowing promoter, so that the final foamed ceramics product uniformly foams, and the volume weight of the final foamed ceramics product is reduced; the particle diameter of a ceramic blank in the step (2) is 20-30 meshes, so that uniform material distribution of a material distribution machine and uniform oxidation are facilitated, and the foamed ceramics which foam uniformly, and is high in hardness and low in volume weight can be further obtained.
