The electric tracer heating system capable of preventing the icicle falling hazards is characterized in that the curved-line-shaped metal cover plates or the broken-line-shaped metal cover plates or the U-shaped metal cover plates and the heat tracing cables are arranged on a building where the icicle falling hazards are likely to be caused, the set bolts penetrate into the bolt holes to fix the metal cover plates on the building, and the electric tracer heating system capable of preventing the icicle falling hazards is formed. Icicles are made to be formed on the metal cover plates, when the icicles achieve a certain scale, the electric tracer heating system is turned on to melt the icicles, and the hazards caused by icicle falling can be prevented.
