The purpose of the present invention is to provide an excavating equipment operator, who is proceeding with construction work according to a design surface, with information pertaining to the construction work in an easy-to-understand manner. A display system (28) for the excavating equipment comprises a storage unit (43) for storing at least positional information for the design surface, a display unit (42) for displaying the position information for the design surface on a screen, and a processing unit (44) for displaying an outer edge of a second plane of the design surface on the screen of the display unit (42) in a different form from the interior side and exterior side of the outer edge, said second plane being a plane that contains a first plane present in the design surface and that is present in at least a portion of the perimeter of the first plane.
