The invention provides a laminated forming method of rare-earth ion-doped yttrium aluminum garnet laser ceramics and belongs to the technical field of laser materials. The invention aims at providing the laminated forming method of the rare-earth ion-doped yttrium aluminum garnet laser ceramics which are produced by compressing the ytterbium yttrium aluminum garnet laser ceramic powder raw materials different in concentration gradually in steps. According to the laminated forming method, the Yb ion doping gradient of the first layer is 0.4at.%, the Yb ion doping gradient of the second layer is 1.6at.%, the Yb ion doping gradient of the third layer is 3.6at.%, the Yb ion doping gradient of the fourth layer is 6.4at.% and the Yb ion doping gradient of the fifth layer is 10at.%, and each layer is compressed under the pressure of 100Mpa and stands for 10 minutes. The laminated forming method has the advantages that the concentration gradient is formed in the longitudinal direction to improve the optical characteristics of the ceramics and satisfy application under special conditions, the ceramic structure is optimized by virtue of laminated forming, the compression is tighter and the structure is more reasonable, the internal temperature distribution of the laser ceramic is more uniform and the laser ceramics are prevented from deformation due to thermal effect, the optical characteristics of the laser ceramics are enhanced, the laser output efficiency of the solid laser device is improved and the quality of the output laser beam is optimized.
