The invention provides a road wind and sand prevention method. The method comprises the steps that the slope ratio of side slopes of a roadbed is set to be 1:3.5-1:4.5; gravel with the rough surface is laid in regions 30-40 m away from the two sides of the bottom of the roadbed; wind prevention and sand fixation nets are arranged on the outer sides of the gravel regions; sand stopping fences are arranged on the outer sides of the wind prevention and sand fixation nets. By means of the improved road wind and sand prevention method, the blockage rate of transit wind-sand flow on a gobi desert reaches 96%; moreover, in the long-term blockage and fixation process, sufficient time is provided for recovery of vegetation in the sand stopping fences; accordingly, the problem of how to provide a road wind and sand prevention method for a strong wind environment condition in the gobi desert is solved.
