The invention provides a formula for making a waterproof anti-oxidative graphite electrode, and especially for making the anti-oxidative graphite electrode used for metal fusing aspect. The formula comprises the following main components: 26-56% of ferric iron, 33-55% of copper ions and 15-45% of petroleum coke. In the formula, asphalt is taken as a binder, through a series of kneading profiling, the components are roasted under high temperature of 160-360 DEG C for 45-80 minutes and then processed. The formula has the characteristics of good waterproof performance, petroleum coke is rapidly decomposed while meeting water, oiliness is large, water molecules can be effectively isolated, weight is light, the electrode is easily clamped, difficultly loosen, and is difficulty corroded, and the graphite electrode has certain performance in metal field.
