The invention discloses a novel public telephone station for a smart city. The public telephone station is capable of providing the wireless communication service and the network service at the same time; and the convenience is provided for the people, and the space of the original public telephone station is also used. The public telephone station comprises a post and rain shelters installed at two sides of the post, a wireless telephone is installed in one rain shelter, and a hand touch screen is installed in the other rain shelter; a wireless fidelity (WIFI) hot point for receiving and sending WIFI signals is installed in the post; the post is installed on the ground, and an accumulator is embedded under the ground; the top end of the post is provided with a photovoltaic plate slantwise through a bracket; and the hand touch screen is a panel personal computer.
