The invention provides a modified calcium oxide expansive agent used for cement concrete. The specific surface area of the modified calcium oxide expansive agent used for cement concrete is 100-600m<2>/kg. The modified calcium oxide expansive agent comprises a thermosensitive polymer with upper critical solution temperature (UCST) and a calcium oxide expanding clinker; the surface of the calcium oxide expanding clinker is coated by the UCST thermosensitive polymer; the UCST thermosensitive polymer accounts for 0.5-10% of the total modified calcium oxide expansive agent used for cement concrete by mass; the UCST of the UCST thermosensitive polymer is 20-50 DEG C. The modified calcium oxide expansive agent has the beneficial effects that on the one hand, hydration of a calcium oxide expansive agent at the plastic stage of cement concrete is reduced; on the other hand, the temperature of concrete rises along with release of heat during cement hydration, the polymer is dissolved and expansion of the calcium oxide expansive agent can be improved, thus promoting the shrinkage and compensation effects of the traditional calcium oxide expansive agents on the temperature of concrete and reducing the concrete cracking risk.
