The invention provides a metallic high chrome brick, which is prepared from chromium oxide, sintering chrome oxide particle, chrome-corundum particle, alumina micro powder, magnesium oxide micro powder, zirconia micro powder, yttrium oxide micro powder, lanthanum and lanthanide-series metal oxide powder, metallic aluminum powder, chromium metal powder, zirconium metal powder, metal yttrium powder and a binding agent. The invention simultaneously provides a preparation method of the metallic high chrome brick. The method comprises the following steps: premixing; mixing materials; molding; drying; firing; sorting; inspecting; packing; and warehousing. The refractoriness, the stability and the slag resistance of the chrome brick are improved by adding the metal powder and the metal oxide powder; and the service life is prolonged.
