The invention provides a construction method for a vertical draining and seepage well of a tailings dam. The construction method for the vertical draining and seepage well of the tailings dam comprises the following steps of (1) determining the position of the vertical draining and seepage well (7); (2) fixing a protecting casing (13) at the position of the vertical draining and seepage well (7); (3) inserting a plastic blind body (9) in the protecting casing (13) and forming an annular accommodating cavity between the plastic blind body (9) and the protecting casing (13); (4) feeding drift waste stones or distribution aggregates (11) in the annular accommodating cavity; (5) dispersively discharging ore on the top of a beach in the front of the dam uniformly; and (6) pulling out the protecting casing (13). By the construction method, the problem that the embedded vertical draining and seepage well is blocked by tailings sludge in an ore discharging process can be solved effectively. The construction method is simple, construction is facilitated, the cost cannot be increased excessively, more importantly, the follow-up draining and seepage effect of the vertical draining and seepage well can be guaranteed, and running safety of a tailings pond is ensured.
