The invention relates to a novel external thermal-insulation structure of a building wall. The external thermal-insulation structure is mainly composed of a basement layer wall body, a heat insulation layer and a wall-decorating facing layer, wherein the outdoor surface of the basement layer wall is provided with a bonding layer, the heat insulation layer is connected with the bonding layer, and a protection layer is arranged between the heat insulation layer and the wall-decorating facing layer. Thermal insulation materials are arranged outdoor the basement layer, the indoor heat stability is excellent, and the indoor energy-saving effect of the building is improved.
