The invention discloses a steel pipe for a high-intensity scaffold. The steel pipe for the high-intensity scaffold is characterized in that the pipe wall taper of the steel pipe is 3: 200, the length of the steel pipe is 2-3 m, and the thickness of the pipe wall of the steel pipe is 3 mm-7 mm; every two steel pipes are inserted to a female end of the other one steel pipe through a socket end of a steel pipe, and then welded and fixed; a fixing end of the steel pipe is further provided with a fastening flange with a positioning hole. The invention further discloses a preparation method of the steel pipe. The preparation method comprises the following steps: (1) preparation before casting pipe; (2) pipe casting procedure; (3) annealing treatment procedure; (4) finishing procedure. The steel pipe for the high-intensity scaffold has the advantages of low manufacturing cost, long service life, low labor intensity, and short construction cycle.
