The invention discloses a utility pole protection method. The utility pole protection method includes the steps: (1) arranging a plurality of infrared sensors around a utility pole at a position 10-20cm away from the ground, and arranging an ultrasonic generation device on the utility pole; (2) judging whether the first infrared sensors sense infrared signals or not, and if any of the first infrared sensors senses the infrared signals, starting the ultrasonic generation device to emit 30KHz-1000KHz ultrasonic waves. By adoption of the utility pole protection method, dogs can be effectively prevented from peeing at the utility pole, and convenience in use is achieved.
