The invention provides an electrolyte sheet for a solid oxide fuel cell. In at least one primary surface of this electrolyte sheet for a solid oxide fuel cell, (1) using a laser-optical 3D-shape-measuring device, the burr height [delta H(0-3)] that is of a first interval between a sheet peripheral edge and a position 3 mm inwards from the sheet peripheral edge and that is determined by means of radiating laser light at the sheet surface at a pitch of 0.01 mm is no greater than 100 mum, and (2) using the aforementioned device, the ratio [delta H(0.61-3)/ delta H(0-0.6)] of the burr height [delta H(0.61-3)] of a third interval between a position 0.61 mm inwards from the sheet peripheral edge and a position 3 mm inwards from the sheet peripheral edge to the burr height [delta H(0-0.6)] of a second interval between the sheet peripheral edge and a position 0.6 mm inwards from the sheet peripheral edge determined by means of radiating laser light at the sheet surface at a pitch of 0.01 mm is 0.5-2.0 inclusive.

The invention provides an electrolyte sheet for a solid oxide fuel cell.
