The invention relates to a refractory profile. The invention is characterized in that the refractory profile is prepared from the following components in parts by weight in a mold: 82-85 parts of light-calcined magnesium powder, 9.5-10.5 parts of aluminum oxide powder, 2-4 parts of cerium oxide powder, 1.5-2.5 parts of erbium oxide and 0-3 parts of zirconium oxide powder. Cerium and erbium are rare earth elements belonging to lanthanide elements, and are important rare earth elements for preparing high-strength special alloy steel. Thus, the refractory profile can not pollute the molten steel in use, and is beneficial to enhancing the steelmaking quality. Besides, the cerium has favorable ductility and high refractability, and the erbium is soft and is compounded with magnesium, aluminum or zirconium; and thus, the refractory temperature is up to 2600-2800 DEG C, the strength is 300 MPa, the volume density is 3.5 g/cm<3>, the porosity is approximate to zero, and the thermal shock stability is high; and when being used for the steelmaking furnace lining, the service life can be prolonged several times as compared with the magnesia carbon brick, thereby reducing the maintenance, accelerating the turnover, increasing the yield, improving the quality and lowering the cost.
