The invention relates to a lighting-type picking device. The lighting-type picking device comprises a handle, a straight rod and a gripping device which are in up-down connection. The handle comprises a fixed portion and a movable portion which are in up-down arrangement. The movable portion is hinged to the top end of the straight rod. The gripping device is fixed to the bottom end of the straight rod through first bolts and comprises two outer metal sheets and two inner metal sheets. The outer metal sheets are opposite to each other, and the inner metal sheets are opposite to the outer metal sheets respectively. The outer metal sheets are fixed to the straight rod through the first bolts. The upper ends of the inner metal sheets are connected with a metal wire in the straight rod through a metal ring. The metal wire is connected with the movable portion of the handle after being wound around a pulley at the top end of the straight rod. The lower ends of the inner metal sheets and the lower ends of the outer metal sheets are fixed by second bolts. Two opposite rubber discs are fixed to two layers of the metal sheets by the second bolts. The lighting-type picking device is simple in structure, convenient and practical and can pick objects at low or high positions and clean garbage easily through arrangement of the handle, the straight rod and the gripping device.
