The invention discloses a double pontoon type upstream control weir gate device. Pontoon chambers are arranged on the two sides of an upstream runner, a rotary shaft is connected between the pontoon chambers, two ends of the rotary shaft are hinged to the side walls of the pontoon chambers, a weir gate is fixed at the middle part of the rotary shaft, a pontoon is arranged in each pontoon chamber, and the pontoons are fixed on the rotary shaft; a seal seat plate is fixedly connected between the bottoms of the pontoon chambers, and seal gaskets are fixed on the surface of the seal seat plate and the surfaces of the side walls of the two-side pontoon chambers and are in sealed match with the weir gate; a water inlet is formed in the side wall of one side, facing to a water flow direction, of each pontoon chamber, a water outlet is formed in the side wall of one side, opposite to the water flow direction, of each pontoon chamber, the bottom surface of each water inlet is lower than or equal to the top surface of the weir gate, and the water charging section of the water inlet is larger than the water discharging section of the water outlet. According to the double pontoon type upstream control weir gate device, the water level is automatically controlled by hydraulic power without utilizing outside power, and the water level in front of the weir gate keeps constant; the pontoon structures effectively intercept floating objects or suspended matters; the water outlet is small, so that the weir gate can slowly close when the water level in front of the weir gate is reduced, and the work stabilization of the weir gate is ensured.
