The invention adopts the following technical scheme: the plinth structure for external wall insulation comprises an external wall masonry (1), an external wall insulation layer (2), a protective layer (3), thermal-insulation mortar (4), building seal gum (5), aproll (6), a ground surface (7), a ground surface insulation layer (8) and a plinth internal insulation layer (9). With the adoption of the structure, impact-resistant 10J requirements specified in national industry standards JGJ144-2004 can be met and a thermal insulation material can be prevented from being damaged, so that an expected thermal insulation effect is achieved.
