The guiding device comprises a guide ring, a guide rod, and a positioning device, and is characterized in that the guide rod is connected with a scaffold body; the guide ring holds the guide rod and then is inserted into a casing pipe of the positioning device; a lug plate of the guide ring is connected with a lug plate of the positioning device through a hinge pin; the positioning device is connected with a built-in fitting of the externally hung scaffold. The guiding device fully utilizes the existing conditions, is simple in structure, low in cost, convenient to mount, and suitable for various building structures; when the scaffold body is lifted, the externally hung scaffold can be vertically operated, so as to effectively prevent the scaffold body from spinning and swinging aloft and prevent collision.
