The adhesive is composed of the following components in parts by weight: 360 to 430 parts of cement, 550 to 600 parts of sand, 1.5 to 3 parts of polymer xanthan gum powder, 1.5 to 3 parts of hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose, and 5 to 20 parts of redispersable latex powder; wherein the cement and sand are the basic materials, and other components are additives. Due to the addition of redispersable latex powder, the waterproof performance of the mortar is enhanced, the adhesive can be used in a damp environment or in a rainy day, and the water tolerant property of the adhesive is also strengthened. Due to the addition of polymer xanthan gum power and hydroxypropyl methyl cellulosed, the viscosity of mortar is greatly increased, the water retaining effect of the adhesive is good, moreover the adhesive can slow the solidification speed, thus the operation time is prolonged, and the adhesive can be transported in a long distance. The raw materials of the adhesive are all solid particles or powder, and thus the adhesive is convenient to transport and can be stored for a long time.
