The invention discloses a recoverable artificial lawn and a preparation method thereof. The artificial lawn has the obvious advantages of being capable of being recovered, environmentally-friendly, free of glue, capable of achieving normal water discharging without need of punching water discharging holes, and the like and has high pulling-out force. The recoverable artificial lawn comprises artificial grass silks and a base fabric, wherein the base fabric consists of a base fabric A for fixing the grass silks and a base fabric B at the bottom of a lawn body; and the base fabric A for fixing the grass silks and the base fabric B at the bottom of the lawn body are stuck together in a thermal compounding mode.
