The invention discloses an ecological environmental protection type bank protection structure which comprises a riprapping banket structure which is formed on the slope toe of a back slope and bank protection blocks laid on the bank slope, the bank protection blocks have two types, namely, fishing reefs and block materials, the fishing reefs are provided with hollow-out holes I, the block materials are provided with hollow-out holes II, the fishing reefs are located below the low water level and arranged in the block materials in a staggered mode, and the hollow-out holes I are exposed above the upper surface of the block materials. According to the ecological environmental protection type bank protection structure, the fishing reefs and the block materials are combined, the problem that the space of a river is small can be solved, by means of the hollow-out bank protection structure type, due to fallen silt, the stability of the bank slope can be enhanced, and in addition, the navigation condition is not affected.
