The invention relates to a self-supporting double-layer chimney. An inner cylinder is made of glass fiber reinforced plastics, an outer cylinder is made of carbon steel and is fixed to a flange, a bearing skirt is installed on the inner wall of the outer cylinder, a bearing platform is arranged on the outer wall of the inner cylinder, and an annular plate is arranged at the bottom of the bearing platform and supported on the bearing skirt; a horizontal outer cylinder top ring is fixed to the top end of the outer cylinder, an outer cylinder top cylinder is fixed to the outer cylinder top ring and located between the outer cylinder and the inner cylinder, a stop block is fixed to the outer wall of the upper portion of the outer cylinder top cylinder, a limiting stop block part is fixed to the outer wall of the upper portion of the inner cylinder, a horizontal inner cylinder top ring is fixed to the top end of the inner cylinder, and an inner cylinder top cylinder is fixed to the inner cylinder top ring and located on the outer layer of the outer cylinder top cylinder; a shake stopping device is arranged between the inner cylinder and the outer cylinder. The carbon steel outer cylinder bears wind vibration and earthquake loads, the inner cylinder made of the glass fiber reinforced plastics has a powerful function of resisting corrosion caused by low-temperature moisture and wet flue gas, the structure type of the self-supporting upper portion and the hung lower portion is adopted in the inner cylinder, the upper portion and the lower portion share one bearing platform, and it is unnecessary to additionally arrange expansion joints in the height direction of the inner cylinder.
