The motor drive type external sunshade roller shutter window comprises a cover body, rails and a curtain sheet set. A rotating shaft and a motor driving the rotating shaft to rotate are mounted in the cover body, the rotating shaft is connected with one end of the curtain sheet set, and the curtain sheet set is formed by hooking a plurality of curtain sheets and is mounted in a framework which is composed of a housing, a bottom beam and the guide rails on the two sides and used for containing the curtain sheet set. Extension springs are arranged in spring chambers on the outer sides of the rails, the upper ends of the springs are fixed on the tops of the rails in the extension state, the lower ends of the springs are connected with pull wires, and the pull wires wind across fixed pulleys and are connected with main curtain sheet tail plates. The novel roller shutter window is simple in structure, convenient to assemble and use, high in safety performance and capable of being mounted and used under various complex environments.
