The invention discloses a soft mattress sinking method. In the construction process, soft mattresses are sequentially constructed row by row in the riverbed width direction, the edges of each row of soft mattresses are in lap joint, in the arrangement process of each row of soft mattresses, GPSs of a base station and three mobile stations are adopted for detecting the actual sinking positions of the row of soft mattresses, in combination with the sinking positions of the row of soft mattresses, the offset in the horizontal direction is calculated, in the arrangement process of a next row of soft mattresses, in the sinking process, according to the acquired offset of the former row of soft mattresses, precompensation for the same distance in the horizontal direction is conducted, and then mattress sinking is conducted. The sinking positions of each row of soft mattresses can be detected, gaps are prevented from being generated in the adjacent soft mattresses, and meanwhile the soft mattress sinking method has the advantages that operation is simple, cost is low, feasibility is good, accuracy is high, the sinking effect of the soft mattresses is guaranteed, and the service life of the soft mattresses is prolonged.
