The present invention relates to a control system for a motorized closure element arrangement of a motor vehicle. In order to detect an operation event showing an operator action circulation format, a linear distance sensor transverse with a local extending part measurement space is arranged, and a control assembly monitors the distance sensor within the monitoring range of the operation event aiming at whether the predetermined operation event exists, and by the distance sensor, the longitudinal movement of a body part of an operator in the longitudinal direction can additionally be detected. It is proposed that the control arrangement detects a predetermined longitudinal movement cycle, which runs in the longitudinal direction, of a body part of an operator as an operator control event, and the closure element arrangement is operated, and in order to detect the longitudinal movement, the distance sensor possesses the sensor configuration changing periodically with a periodical length along a longitudinal direction, so that the body part of the operator in the longitudinal direction causes the changed sensor measurement value, and the periodical length at least extends in the longitudinal direction in response to the longitudinal movement circularly.
