The invention discloses a novel light-weight arched structure. The light-weight arched structure comprises at least three basic units, wherein each basic unit comprises a first wooden pole part and a second wooden pole part; the cross section of the first wooden pole part is in a square structure; a first mortise is arranged in the middle part of the first wooden pole part; an upper clamping slot and a lower clamping slot are respectively formed in the top and bottom of the first wooden pole part at the same side of the first mortise, and the upper clamping slot is formed between the first mortise and the lower clamping slot; the cross section of the second wooden pole part is in the square structure, one rabbet forms at one end of the second wooden pole part, a second mortise is arranged in the middle part of the second wooden pole part, and the width of the rabbet is less than that of the second mortise; the lower clamping slot of the first wooden pole part of the basic unit is clamped on the upper clamping slot of the first wooden pole part of the adjacent basic unit. The light-weight arched structure is simple in structure, quick in arch formation and easy to construct.
