A vertical ladder for fire fighting is provided. A pin base is fixed on a pedestal of the ladder. The pin base and a rotation base are connected by a rotary pin. An angle between the pedestal and the rotation base is adjusted by a gravity cone and is locked by a lock screw. The outer conical surface of a support is matched with an inner conical hole of the rotation base or the inner conical surface of an inner conical hole of a lower support so as to achieve fixation. After the inner hole and the corresponding outer conical surface are matched and fixed, the corresponding inner and outer conical surfaces which are fitted are automatically locked by matching between an annular locking groove in the inner conical surface and a locking end of a corresponding bended body. Folded-type pedals which can be folded to the connecting head end of each support are fixed to two sides of the cylindrical surface of the corresponding support. Anti-slip rubber is adhered to the bottom of the pedestal. The ladder is simple in structure, and convenient to assemble, carry and use. Assembling and dismounting processes when the ladder is used are free of tools. Difficult problems of vertical climbing and standing in emergency dealing and rescue in fire fighting are overcome. During climbing, the ladder is high in assembling speed, safe, reliable and convenient to climb. After the ladder is used, dismounting, packaging, and transportation of the ladder are convenient.
