The invention discloses a telescopic type water retaining gate. The telescopic type water retaining gate comprises a telescopic door body, a bottom plate, a walking mechanism and rubber waterproof cloth, wherein the rubber waterproof cloth covers the outer side of the telescopic door body; the telescopic door body comprises a door body framework and a stainless steel tank body; the door body framework is formed by multiple single-frame door type frameworks; every two adjacent single-frame door type frameworks are connected through a crossed support; each single-frame door type framework is formed by two outer upright posts which are positioned at the upstream side and the downstream side and multiple cross beams which are arranged between the two outer upright posts; two sliding grooves are respectively formed in the inner sides of the two outer upright posts; the crossed supports are hinged through a fixed shaft and a sliding shaft; the bottom parts of the upstream side and the downstream side of the telescopic door body are respectively provided with a reverse hook. The telescopic type water retaining gate disclosed by the invention is particularly suitable for being used as a large-span dry sluice gate at an intersection position of a flood control dam and a city traffic road, the contradiction and the difficult problem between the flood control dam and the city traffic construction can be better solved, and the telescopic type water retaining gate has better promotion and application value in similar engineering.
