The invention discloses a water saving device for public toilets, which comprises a hand wash basin, wherein the hand wash basin is in pipe connection with a runoff gathering pit at the lower end of the water saving device, a filter net is arranged at the lower end of the runoff gathering pit, a combined port is formed in the lower end of the filter net, the combined port is in pipe connection with a water collecting tank at the lower right end of the water saving device, a fine-pore filter is arranged at an opening at the lower right end of the water collecting tank, the fine-pore filter is in pipe connection with a water absorption motor at the upper right end of the water saving device, the joint of a flush tank and a lower pipeline is provided with an electronic water valve, and the electronic water valve is connected with a water valve switch by using a guide line. When the device is used, the filter net and the fine-pore filter are installed for filtering used water, and then the water is conveyed to the flush tank by the water absorption motor, so that the repeated use of water resources is realized; the device implements automated processing by installing a controller and a water level sensor, so that manpower is not required, thereby saving the cost; and in addition, the device controls the flushing of water by controlling the water valve switch, and therefore, the water saving device is convenient and beautiful.
