The invention discloses an anti-falling mechanism for an industrial overhead door. The anti-falling mechanism comprises a guide rail (16) and a sliding base (1), wherein both sides of the sliding base (1) are provided with clamping grooves (3); the sliding base (1) is arranged on the guide rail (16) through the clamping grooves (3); one end of the upper surface of the sliding base (1) is provided with a support base (9), and the other end is provided with a fixed base (6); a support column (11) is arranged between the support base (9) and the fixed base (6); a buffer block (5) and a buffer spring (2) are arranged on the support column (11); the buffer block (5) is provided with a traction arm (4); the other side of the sliding base (1) is provided with a brake plate (12); the brake plate (12) is arranged on the sliding base (1) through a hinge shaft II (14). The anti-falling mechanism has the advantages of simple structure, easiness in production, low cost and easiness in use and mounting; unexpected falling of the overhead door under a failure condition can be effectively prevented, and accidents are avoided.
