    The invention discloses a pressing forming method of alpha-alumina powder. The method includes the steps that the alpha-alumina powder is arranged in a die with the diameter not smaller than 100 mm, the pressure of a press in primary die pressing ranges from 4 MPa to 40 MPa, holding time ranges from 1 s to 60 s, the pressure of the press in secondary die pressing ranges from 4 MPa to 40 MPa, holding time ranges from 1 s to 60 s, the pressure of the press in tertiary die pressing ranges from 4 MPa to 40 MPa, holding time ranges from 1 s to 60 s, and cakes are formed after three times of die pressing. No reagent is added in the pressing process, and the purity of materials is guaranteed. The process is easy and convenient to carry out, and production efficiency is improved.
