Isolation island for urban plane intersection and intersection reformation design method
The invention discloses an isolation island for an urban plane intersection and an intersection reformation design method. A right-trapezoid-shaped restricted area is additionally arranged on an entrance lane where parking is permitted, and an isolation island is installed inside the restricted area. The restricted area is located at the end, close to an intersection, of a roadside parking strip and approximately has the same width as the roadside parking strip. On the basis of a transition section of the fixed length, vehicles are guided to enter the intersection from the place close to the center line of a road. The isolation island can make a physical barrier for parked vehicles and pedestrian crosswalks, and meanwhile restrain illegal parking of motor vehicles. Compared with the prior art, the characteristic that the walking and non-motor vehicle traffic ratio of a great number of cities in China is high is sufficiently considered, restricts of vehicle traffic paths and vehicle parking behaviors can be achieved at the same time, the safe visibility range of drivers and pedestrians can be effectively increased, the pedestrian crossing distance is shortened, and the isolation island is beneficial to reducing conflicts between the vehicles and the pedestrians at intersection. In addition, the isolation island and the reformation design method are simple and easy to implement.
