The invention relates to a water supplement device, in particular to an emergency water supplement device which can be applied to the emergency handling situations in the fields of fire protection, steel rolling and the like, and a control method of the device. The emergency water supplement device comprises an energy accumulator, an air storage tank, a leather bag and a remote PLC control system, wherein the air storage tank is connected with the leather bag through an energy accumulator air inlet pneumatic control ball valve and inflates the leather bag, the leather bag is arranged inside the energy accumulator and provides water pressure for the energy accumulator, the energy accumulator is connected with continuous water supply equipment to achieve water supply, and the remote PLC control system is connected with control devices of the components. The emergency water supplement device is initiated in China, fills up the use blank of a water supply system energy accumulator of equipment for steel rolling and the like, replaces an original high and large water tower equipment water supplement device, has the advantages of being small in occupied area, convenient to use and small in invest capital, saves manpower, and achieves site unmanned operation, thereby achieving the purpose of remote automatic control.
