The invention provides a food waste disposer with a filter basket. The food waste disposer comprises a shell and a crushing chamber, wherein the shell is internally provided with a cavity, the crushing chamber is arranged in the cavity, the food waste disposer also comprises a connecting pipe, one end of the connecting pipe is connected with a sewage outlet of the crushing chamber, the other end of the connecting pipe is provided with a sewage discharge chamber, the food waste disposer also comprises a filter basket, the filter basket is arranged in the sewage discharge chamber, and a sewage discharge cover is arranged on the sewage discharge chamber; the filter basket is of a cylindrical structure, the joint part of the filter basket and the connecting pipe is provided with a gap corresponding to the connecting pipe, a handle is arranged at an opening at the upper end of the filter basket, the bottom end of the filter basket is also provided with a through hole, and the size of the through hole is equal to the size of a sewage outlet of the sewage discharge chamber; and the handle is movably connected with the filter basket.
